Saturday 21st November, 11am–1pm

Join me at the All About The Yarn studio at Chesterblade Hills for a relaxed morning of knitting, tea and biscuits as we cast on our Flock Vests together.

We’ll chat about our colour choices, get started on the pattern and enjoy some sociable knitting. I’ll have my finished vest for you to see and Janet and I will be on hand to help you get going.

If you'd like to read more about my Flock Vest, you can read my blog post here.

This is a social knitting session rather than a taught workshop, so you’ll need to be comfortable knitting and purling and following a pattern.

Booking your place

  • Complimentary place: if you’re buying your yarn for the Flock Vest from All About The Yarn, online or in person.

  • £5 place: if you’re using stash yarn or yarn bought elsewhere.

Please book whichever option applies – spaces are limited, and complimentary places must also be reserved.

What to bring

  • Your own copy of the Flock Vest pattern by Andrea Mowry, purchased separately from her website or Ravelry.

  • Your yarn and the needles you need to achieve the pattern tension.

  • A washed tension swatch, ideally made beforehand so you’re ready to cast on (I promise I won't be policing this, but I always recommend swatching for garment making!).

  • Any other notions listed in the pattern.

If you’d like help choosing yarn and colours beforehand, pop into the shop on the afternoon of Saturday 14th November, or email info@allabouttheyarn.co.uk.

This get-together marks the start of our Flock Vest knit-along, which will continue on Substack until after New Year. The online KAL is free and open to everyone, with space to share progress photos, ask questions and admire each other’s vests.
